How to Copy Nintendo DS Game From Computer to DS

There exists on the Internet a slew of games designed
by individuals or a small groups of amateur developers.
These "home-brew" games are available for most systems,
including the Nintendo DS. Unfortunately,
these can only be accessed on the PC and so require a third-party device,
such as an Acekard 2i or CycloDS,
that allows the games to be played on the Nintendo DS.
Using an SD card as an intermediary,
your Nintendo will be able to play home-brew DS games.

Download Free Nintendo DS Games?

Free Nintendo DS games are available for download
on the Internet and are legal as long as you own
a physical copy of the game. The free ones available
for download are for backup purposes only and are known as ROMs.
ROMs require emulators (a piece of software designed
to play the ROM as the actual video game system would)
to play them and you can also find this software for free.

First, you will need a DS flash cart.

These are basically shaped just like and normal DS game,
only here's the catch- they can hold a Micro SD chip,
and play hundreds, if not thousands,
of free DS games downloaded right off the Internet!
I recommend purchasing the Acekard 2i, Cyclo DS, or R4 flash carts.
You can purchase these at gameplayfun.com(which has cheapest prices
but slow shipping), or just type in 'DS flash carts' on the web and order one.
They're relatively inexpensive($14-$20 each).

After obtaining a DS flash cart and a Micro SD chip,
use either an SD card adapter or a USB adapter
(which will probably come with your purchased flash cart)to plug in your Micro SD chip into your Nintendo DS.

Type in 'nintendo ds roms' into Google,
or any other search engine, and you'll find many, many,
websites. I recommend starting a romulation.net account,
as it has the best interface by far compared to other websites,
and it also has most games. Other places to find roms include 3roms.com.

Once you've downloaded your game
(which will take some time, based on the file size),
place it into your micro SD, put the Micro SD into your DS flash cart,
plug it into your Nintendo DS, and you're done!

Download Nintendo ROM DS the Virus Free Way Now

By Nintendo DS/ DSI Flash Cards here...

As everybody knows, rom stands for read only memory. Along with its twin, ram, rom has been around as long as computers have been. Rom often gets second billing after its bigger, tougher brother, who seemed to get all the good genes while poor little rom is nothing but a program that can be used by ram (random access memory) with ease. The truth is, though, that each one of them is useless without the other. For those who love games, rom ds, a rom that can stores Nintendo DS games is the real champion. Big hefty ram is just a tool to make the rom ds run on the computer. And ram needs some help to do that, too, in the form of an emulator.

Every substantially different operating system needs something to allow it to read files from another operating system. This is what the emulator does. Before you can play your rom ds, you need to first download an emulator and install it. Then and only then will your computer have the necessary “smarts” to read your next download, the rom ds

There is not just one rom ds – there are as many as there are games and versions of games. Thousands of them are available for download and many of these can be downloaded at no charge. A different emu (that’s emulator, not the Australian bird) is not necessary for every game you download. Usually one is more than enough and if you look around, you can get emu’s that allow you to play both Nintendo and Gameboy games.

rom ds’s usually download fairly quickly. More often than not they come as Winrar compressed files to keep the download time to a minimum. After you have opened your zipped file, you will be presented with a bewildering list of files. The most important one of these has the suffix .nds attached to it. If you are at all confused, go back to the site where you downloaded the rom ds from. Usually you can find detailed instructions on the best way to get your game to work. If you do it by trial and error, you probably won’t destroy your computer, but you will almost certainly be faced with hours of frustration before you stumble across the one little thing you’ve done wrong!

That’s the rom ds in a thousand words or less. Download and enjoy

You only need is buy an nintendio flash card here

Why Nintendo Cyclo DS is better R4?

R4 DS Revolution Vs Cyclo DS Evolution

I came across a very interesting post within the
romulation forum today and thought I’d share it with you.
The forum discusses the experiences of a guy who
goes by the name of Nightroad. His post was in
order to answer a question posted by someone who
was seeking advice on the pros and cons of the R4 DS
Revolution and CycloDS Evolution

What are the pros and cons of each one?
Why Cyclo DS is better R4?

And explain why you think it is better.

Below is the reply that Nightroad posted.
I own a CycloDS With an 8GB Kingston Micro SDHC Card,
and a EZ Flash 3-1 Expansion Cart.
I can say from experience that I have had
NO problem with my CycloDS. It does everything
it advertises and I’ve been able to play every singe
ROM I’ve tried without any additional software.
(Except GBA Roms with 1024 Save type, but that was easy to fix).

My brother bought one of the new “Fake” R4. They’re not really fakes,
they’re clones of the R4 with SDHC support,
made by some of the R4 team after they split.
I gave my brother my old 2GB Kingston SD card and it plays ok.
Claims to have many of the features the CycloDS has,
but I haven’t messed with it enough to see.
Had trouble playing Sonic The Dark brotherhood (Would not play at all).
My CycloDS plays it just fine without any problems.

The R4 is a little more challenging to work too.
My brother had to download and copy files to his to get it to work.
The CycloDS is basically plug and play. It takes care of the rest.

Updating the CycloDS couldn’t be easier.
Copy the firmware update to your SD card,
boot up and it updates automatically and deletes
the firmware update. If you get a bad firmware update,
you can do a reset using a button combination.

I can’t say much bad about the R4.
Doesn’t have some of the compatibility the
CycloDS has and all it’s pre-built cheats are in Japanese,
so you kinda can’t jump right into your favorite game very easily.
CycloDS came with a lot of pre-built *english* Cheats.

There’s A LOT of crap on youtube and various gaming
forums about the R4. People getting fakes,
the card breaking, stop working, or the dreaded “Loading…” bug
that a majority of problems seem to be.

These cards are something you have to be careful with.
It’s like buying a used car.
It really is worth it to take the extra money
and buy something you KNOW is reliable vs. something that’s questionable.

I vote for a CycloDS. Has never given me
problems and does what it says it’ll do.

How to Put Nintendo DS Games on an R4 R4i

How to Put Nintendo DS Games on an R4 R4i

R4 cards allow Nintendo DS players to hold several games in one place.
Depending on the size of the MicroSD card, players can fit games,
music and even themes for their Nintendo DS. www.gameplayfun.com
The process calls for two additional items:
an SD adapter and a slot or card reader for your computer.
However, equipping the R4 card with games is still a simple task with the right tools.
1.
Step 1

Insert your SD card adapter with the MicroSD card into your computer's slot or card reader. Open the new drive that appears in your My Computer folder.
2.
Step 2

Drag your games into the main folder of the MicroSD card. Eject the SD adapter.
3.
Step 3

Take the MicroSD card and place it into your R4 card. Then place it into your Nintendo DS and press power to access the games.

Back Up Nintendo DS Games

1.
Step 1

Figure out your IP address. Click on your computer's Start button. In the search box, type: cmd
At the C:\ prompt, type: ipconfig.
This will bring up computer information, including the IP address.
2.
Step 2

Download SmallFTP. This is a basic FTP program that you will need to transfer files between your computer and DS. Once it is downloaded, extract all the components and run the program. It doesn't require installation.
3.
Step 3

Manage your SmallFTP settings. Go to the Settings menu and select General. This will open a small window of General Settings. Change the number next to FTP port to 8080. Return to the Settings menu and choose Advanced. Put a check in the box next to Use Local IP. Return to the Settings menu and click Users. Click Add. Enter a login and password for the system. Click the Add button next to Directories, and on the Directory Properties window that appears, type: c:\temp in the Physical Path box. Click Add next to permissions and change it to LRW. Click OK. Press the Save Settings button, then click Play. You should get a message that says "FTP Server is Running."
4.
Step 4

Download NDS Backup Tool and extract it. Open the file with the .ini extension that is in the Backup Tool folder in Notepad. Change the ServerIP to the IP address of your computer, ServerPort to 8080 and the FTPUser and FTPPassword to the login and password you entered in the SmallFTP system. Save changes. Copy both the .nds file and the changed .ini file extracted from NDS Backup Tool to your flash cart.
5.
Step 5

Turn on your DS. Insert your flash cart and run the Backup Tool. When you run the Backup tool, it will connect automatically to the FTP server. You will receive onscreen instructions to switch the flash cart with the game that you want to backup. Take the cart out, put the game in and press the A button. Hit the R button twice, the B button once and the A button again. The game will begin to back-up to your computer. For smaller games, this will take minutes. For games storing 64MB or more, it will take up to an hour. Store the game in a folder on your hard drive where you can find it should your game cartridge fail.

Download Gratis DS Games

•Step 1
Download the Nintendo DS (http://www.gameplayfun.com/category-s/29.htm) is an excellent resource for downloading.

•Step 2

•Step 3
Install the emulator you've downloaded. Open the "file" menu and select the "load image" or "load rom" option. After checking to make sure that your controls are configured (this can often be found in the "options" or "configuration" sections), load the rom and test your control scheme.

The R4 DS Flashcart.First, you will need a DS flash cart. These are basically shaped just like and normal DS game, only here's the catch- they can hold a Micro SD chip, and play hundreds, if not thousands, of free DS games downloaded right off the Internet! I recommend purchasing the R4, M3, or Edge DS flash carts. You can purchase these at www.gameplayfun.com (which has cheap prices but slow shipping), or just type in 'DS flash carts' on the web and order one. They're relatively inexpensive($14-$20 each).

Become Minister of Education in The Sims 2

http://www.gameplayfun.com
R4DS, R4i, R4 SDHC, Acekard 2i, CycloDS, DSTTi, M3DS, Supercard DS

Step
1Keep a modest house. While it may be fulfilling for your Sim, Education is not one of the more profitable career tracks. While it is by no means the least rewarding financially, it will also not make your Sim rich. Make sure your Sim is able to live within their means as an educator, lest the Repo Man come knocking.

Step
2Become a Playground Monitor. Every career starts somewhere; Education starts here. Get used to dealing with complaints, scraped knees and playground snitches. Fear not though! Advancement to Teacher's Aide awaits the upwardly mobile Sim.

Step
3Become a neat freak. If your Sim is naturally obsessed with cleanliness, this will be a snap for them. If your Sim is in no way concerned with hygiene, this will be a nightmare. Your Sim must have an innate knowledge of cleanliness in order to advance in the Education career track. They will need nine points of Cleaning to become the Education Minister.

Step
4Practice your speech. As a teacher, your Sim will be speaking to other Sims all day long. Good public speaking skills and a way with people are essential to keep the job going smoothly and are absolutely indispensable when it comes to advancement. Your Sim will need eight points in Charisma to become Education Minister.

Step
5Play lots of Chess. In order to teach a variety of subjects and disseminate information in an efficient manner, your Sim must become intimately familiar with the principles of logic and reason. Starting with the level of Substitute Teacher, your Sim will need increasing amounts of the Logic Skill in order to advance. Your Sim will need all ten Logic points in order to become Education Minister.

How to Convert a Torrent to an NDS

http://www.gameplayfun.com
R4DS, R4i, R4 SDHC, Acekard 2i, CycloDS, DSTTi, M3DS, Supercard DS

Step
1Go to your BitTorrent site of choice (e.g., http://btjunkie.org) and search for the NDS file you'd like to download. If you're not sure what you're looking for, just type "NDS" into the search engine and see what comes up. Click on the search result you're interested in and click the "Torrent Download" link. Save the torrent file to your desktop.

Step
2Download a torrent client. For this example we'll use uTorrent from www.utorrent.com. Click the "Download" link and open the downloaded file. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the program.

Step
3Run uTorrent. Drag and drop the NDS torrent file you downloaded earlier into uTorrent and click "OK" to begin the download.

Step
4Get a flash cart. These can run anywhere from $15 to $40 and are available at many online stores, such as DSCardsDepot.com. The Acekard 2i has the best compatibility of currently available flash carts (the Acekard 2i costs roughly $20).

Step
5Connect the MicroSD card reader that came with your flash cart (it hooks up to your USB port). Insert your MicroSD card; you'll notice a new drive appear in "My Computer."

Step
6Wait for uTorrent to notify you that the NDS file has downloaded successfully; copy it to the MicroSD card by dragging it from your "Download" folder to the new drive you saw in "My Computer."

Step
7Insert the MicroSD card into the flash cart; put the flash cart into your Nintendo DS or DSi game system. Power on the system. The NDS file you downloaded will appear in a menu on the main screen. Click on it to load it and start using it.

How to Set Up a Computer for Gaming

http://www.gameplayfun.com
R4DS, R4i, R4 SDHC, Acekard 2i, CycloDS, DSTTi, M3DS, Supercard DS

Step
1Purchase a fast processor. Processors can greatly impact the quality of your gaming experience, so choosing a fast processor is highly beneficial. Intel and AMD both offer high-speed gaming processors such as the Intel Core i7 or AMD Phenom II. Make sure you purchase a compatible motherboard for these processors if you do not already have one.

Step
2Purchase extra memory. Memory is another large component of your computers gaming capability. RAM comes in different speeds and sizes. The highest quality RAM currently available is Double Data Rate (DDR) RAM. It is twice as fast as its predecessor Single Data (SD) RAM. Purchasing enough RAM is also important; many games today have minimum requirements ranging from 1 to 2 gigabytes.

Step
3Purchase a high-quality video card. If you want to play graphic intensive games, you are going to need a top of the line video card. Some of the leading brands include nViidia Geforce and Radeon. When choosing a video card, make sure that you choose one with adequate amounts of video memory and one that supports pixel shading and directX.

Step
4Purchase a large hard drive. Games today are larger than ever do to cinematic clips, audio files and intensive graphics. The good news is that hard drives are also becoming larger and larger. Some hard drives currently available can reach up to 2 terabytes per drive.

Step
5Purchase a large monitor. Bigger monitors can give you an advantage in gaming. Using a larger aspect ratio can allow you to see more per frame, such as oncoming enemies. Depending on your video card, some gamers use flat screen TV's as monitors to get an even larger aspect ratio.

Step
6Get a fast Internet connection. If you are planning to play games online, a fast Internet connection is paramount. A dial-up modem can significantly hinder your ability to compete with those who have cable and DSL connections

Troubleshoot the Screen on a Nintendo DS

Step 1
Make sure you are touching the right screen. Only the bottom screen works with the stylus. The top screen is not a touch screen.

Step 2
Recalibrate the screen. Return to the DS Menu Screen and use the control pad to select the "Settings panel." Press A. Select the right-most icon (it is yellow and has a crosshair) and press A. Now, using the stylus, touch each red square as it appears. Be precise. After this test is complete, test the sensitivity. Tap confirm, then quit and then yes. The system will shut down and save the settings.

Step 3
Look for foreign matter on the screen. Hold the screen flat at eye level. Look all around the edges of the screen for any crumbs or dirt that may be wedged into the screen. If you see anything, clean the screen.

Step 4
Clean the screen. Get a brand new, medium-bristled toothbrush. Now, press down very gently with your thumb on the side of the screen to be cleaned. This should create a tiny gap. Use the toothbrush to carefully dislodge any foreign material from the gap. Repeat for each edge.

Step 5
Turn off the Nintendo DS and examine the screen. If you see lines or blotches of color on the screen while playing, see if they are still there when the system is off. These are telltale signs of broken crystals and physical damage, which means you'll have to replace your system.

Step 6
Replace the screen. The top screen can be replaced using the official screen replacement kit from Nintendo. This will take care of any scratches. Get it at http://store.nintendo.com/html/Nintendostore/prodlink.html?part=83650&parent=58694

Step 7
Turn off the alarm. If there are running numbers in the corner of the screen and the backlight won't turn on, it's becasue the alarm is set. Go to the DS Menu Screen and tap the settings panel. Next, tap the "Calendar and Date" panel. Then tap the alarm clock icon. Tap "Set Alarm" to turn it off or on.

Step 8
Turn on the backlight. The backlight can be turned on and off from the settings panel.

How to Put on Screen Protectors for Nintendo DS

•Step 1
Measure the size of the protector you need. DS consoles come in four different sizes, so it is very important that you measure the screen before you purchase or modify an existing screen protector.

•Step 2
Purchase a screen protector that suits your needs. If you can find one that has been pre-measured to your DS model's specifications, that is ideal. If you find general-size screen protectors, you can measure and cut them to the size you recorded in Step 1.

•Step 3
Peel back the plastic backing to reveal the sticky side of the screen protector in one corner. Ideally, this will be the lower left corner.

•Step 4
Place the corner of the screen protector in the corner of the DS that it corresponds to. It doesn't matter if you start with the lower or upper screen. Then, pull off the rest of the plastic covering, and lay the adhesive flat against the screen.

•Step 5
Use a small piece of cardboard to flatten out the screen protector and smooth out any air bubbles. Repeat the process for the second screen.

How to Download Free Nintendo DS Games

•First, you will need a DS flash cart. These are basically shaped just like and normal DS game, only here's the catch- they can hold a Micro SD chip, and play hundreds, if not thousands, of free DS games downloaded right off the Internet! I recommend purchasing the R4, M3, or Edge DS flash carts. You can purchase these at Dealextreme.com(which has cheap prices but slow shipping), or just type in 'DS flash carts' on the web and order one. They're relatively inexpensive($14-$20 each).

•Step 2
After obtaining a DS flash cart and a Micro SD chip, use either an SD card adapter or a USB adapter(which will probably come with your purchased flash cart)to plug in your Micro SD chip into your Nintendo DS.

•Step 3
Type in 'nintendo ds roms' into Google, or any other search engine, and you'll find many, many, websites. I recommend starting a romulation.net account, as it has the best interface by far compared to other websites, and it also has most games. Other places to find roms include Mininova.com and thepiratebay, as well coolroms.com.

•Step 4
Once you've downloaded your game (which will take some time, based on the file size), place it into your micro SD, put the Micro SD into your DS flash cart, plug it into your Nintendo DS, and you're done!
